Can anyone help me for some links , or give me some knowledge of what is really happening why im getting "SOCKET OPENING ERROR" when im downloading file in FTP? I can download yet sometimes it give me this ERROR: "SOCKET OPENING ERROR"

Is this due to server limitatation like (overload)?

Thanks

Re: socket error

Run your FTP client through strace to see what the real error is.

Re: socket error

When something goes wrong the systemcall in question returns a somewhat useful
error code, which can be found in errno.

"SOCKET OPENING ERROR" is not a useful error message and is non-standard.

Try a different FTP client, or use strace to see what the real error code is.

Re: socket error

A quick google search makes it seem that it's either a PHP related error, or
something to do with MSWindows?

Oh wait, if you're not a programmer this isn't really the right forum, though we're
glad trying to help you anyway.
