I am using fedora core 6 and i want to mount NTFS patitions of my windows to my fedora core 6.can anyone out there let me know the procedure or the way i can mount the NTFS partitions.

I am running fedora core 6 in a virtual machine software, will your procedure work for that too.

there are errors like;

NTFS signaure missing,
failed to mount /dev/hda1,

I don't think so if this procedure works on fedora 6. I use debian 4.0rc2.
But, I think it's the same way to mount ntfs partitions on linux box.


execute this command :

fdisk -l

And mount your NTFS partition manually with ntfs-3g

mount -t ntfs-3g /dev/NTFSPartition /directory/mount/point
