Re: old unix faq pages

Hello,
I used to read the old unix socket faq pages, and reached them through:

http://www.developerweb.net/sock-faq/
http://www.ibrado.com/sock-faq/

but now I can not access the info anymore, the mysql server seems to be costantly down, and the flatfaq.php script (providing the whole faq on a single dowload) does not seem to work.
Is this going to be fixed or is the old faq dead and buried?

Claudio

Re: old unix faq pages

Well, you'll probably have to wait for Vic to give you a definitive
answer...  But, my guess is they're probably dead and buried...
Like it says at the top of the old page, the FAQ has moved here,
and this is where you should go now, anyway...  All of the old
FAQ info is available here in the Unix Socket FAQ forum...
Losing the old flat text file version of the FAQ is a bit of a bummer,
but that can still be found online many other places, too...  Eg: at
FAQs.org...
