hello,

what is a core dump exactly?, how to use it( when i try to open it with vi, it saystoo long to open), i get core dump when using cc.

It's just a dump of your crashed process's running memory
image...  It's only real use is for post-mortem debugging (ie:
with "gdb" or similar)...
